Cactus Club
Cactus Club (Brussels) is a long-running, feel-good nightlife landmark—set in a building with almost a century of stories behind it, and still known today for its themed parties, musical variety, and the kind of crowd that comes to dance (properly) until late.
Located at Boulevard du Souverain 147, 1160 Auderghem (Brussels), the club sits in a historic venue whose life began in 1923—first as a casino/ballroom space, later as a cinema, before it found its “true purpose” as a dance club.
The name itself is a nod to French pop culture: it was inspired by Jacques Dutronc’s song “Les Cactus”, and the club in its current form has been the Cactus since 1986, created by Eric Doolaege (after earlier chapters that included the cinema “Les Gémeaux” and the venue known as “Le Canotier”).
Why the location matters: Auderghem gives Cactus that “destination night out” vibe—easy to reach via major roads, with practical access for groups—and the club itself highlights free parking across from the venue for nights when you’re coming by car.
